Welcome to the Puhoi Cottage, a unique and special place.
The cottage was a hundred years old on 15th August 2007. It was built by Margaret & Joseph Hendl. Joseph had a major hand in building the hall and church in historic Puhoi Village.
The old Cottage has now been a TeaRoom for nearly 40 years. It's one of the oldest TeaRooms in New Zealand. It is the oldest TeaRoom still serving "Devonshire Cream Teas" in NZ.

All the scones and yummy cakes are baked at the cottage and all the recipes used, have been handed down from owner to owner. Add to that the pretty garden setting and valley views and you get a truly unique experience.
